Redefining the Corporation: Stakeholder Management and Organizational Wealth

摘要

Two fundamental propositions form the basis for the arguments put forward in this book. The first is that 'corporations are what they do' and the second that 'the purpose of the business enterprise is to create wealth'. The resultant 'stakeholder view' of the corporation presented by the authors holds that stakeholder relationships are the ultimate sources of the corporation's wealth-creating capacity. Consequently, long-term business success requires a corporation to develop and integrate relationships with its multiple stakeholders within a distinctive management strategy.
