Atlas Copco's latest compact rig

Atlas Copco has launched the FlexiROC T20 R four-wheel hydraulic drill rig, aimed at urban drilling applications. FlexiROC T20 R is intended for holes in the 1.5-2.5inch (38-64mm) range and the rig is equipped with a 1 lOhp (82kW) onboard Cummins diesel engine and a 13.2US gal/s (50litres/s) compressor. The drilling power is delivered by a COP 1132 rock drill that uses less energy than conventional rock drills, reducing the amount of fuel used per drill meter. The FlexiROC T20 R incorporates Atlas Copco's doubled damping system, designed to reduce wear on the drill steel. Atlas Copco says that the large coverage area and optional hydraulic roll over boom make the FlexiROC T20 R well suited to rock reinforcement jobs while radio remote control option enables the operator to maneuver the rig easily and safely.
