In the past 5 years virtually every method of reducing construction project costs has been addressed, from scouring the country and overseas for the best price materials to haggling costs with sub-contractors - the combined effect being a downward spiral in profit margins for every sector of the construction industry. Reduced profit margins and increased competition have together highlighted the need for the industry to address the way it handles document storage and distribution as a means of clawing back some of its lost profitability.
