The preliminary release of Q3 GDP data outpaced expectations, posting a 3.9% (q-o-q annualised) increase, quickening from a 1.8% outturn in Q2. Moreover, in non-annualised terms, economic growth accelerated to 0.9% from 0.4% in the three months to June, marking a fourth quarter of expansion. Private investment increased by 0.8% (q-o-q) over the period, while private consumption rose by 1.1%, propped up by government incentives.
