The economy avoided a technical recession as the Q4 growth rate of-0.1% was followed by a 0.3% expansion in Q1 2016. Gross fixed capital formation fell for the second straight quarter, while exports dropped at a faster rate than imports. Household consumption remained modest, but government expenditure climbed by 0.9% (q-o-q). The 2016 GDP forecast has fallen to 0.9% this month.
