The second estimate of Dutch GDP growth confirmed a 0.5% (q-o-q) expansion in Q1, keeping our panel's 2016 GDP estimate at 1.6%. The 2017 projection has dropped from 1.9% to 1.6% amid fresh jitters in the financial markets and political turbulence in the EU. Further weakness in foreign demand could weigh on exports, a key pillar of GDP growth. Goods exports climbed by 6.7% (y-o-y), in April, though, their biggest increase in over a year.
