Once you've grown used to the multichannel sound delivered by the audio-video components in your home theater or media room, it's hard to go back to listening to a mono or even stereo soundtrack emanating from a TV set. Trouble is, you can't always be in your main viewing room. Of course, you can buy the components and add a full-blown surround-sound system to any TV in your home (or outside it, for that matter), but that can get mighty expensive, especially if you're the sort who prefers to hire specialists to do the installations.
