Auflage geht. Wie mein Vorgänger im Amt des Präsidenten der fib, Professor Harald S. Müller, bereits früher dargestellt hat, ist unser Verband am Prozess der Erarbeitung des neuen Model Code 2020 beteiligt. Er wird als Referenz für die Entwicklung nationaler oder supranationaler Normen dienen. Dieses Projekt ist für die fib, die Baubranche und die Gesellschaft, die vom Einsatz des Baustoffs Beton und seiner kontinuierlichen Weiterentwicklung letztlich profitiert, von herausragender Bedeutung.%It is an honor for fib, the International Federation for Structural Concrete, and for me personally, as the new president, to co-sponsor this event with such renowned and great importance in the field of concrete, which inaugurates its 61st edition this year. As announced by my predecessor in the presidency of fib, Professor Harald S. Müller, our organization is involved in the process of elaborating the new Model Code 2020. This will be a reference document for the development of national or supranational codes. It is a project of extraordinary importance for fib, for the construction industry and, ultimately, for society, the final beneficiary of the use of this material and its continuous improvement.
