ARDEX Concrete Management System (ACMS) is a specified finishing method for freshly placed concrete. It's an integrated system of moisture control and self-leveling underlayment products. Using this system, users will place, consolidate, strike off and refloat/restraighten the surface, allow bleed water to dissipate, and either wet-cover or membrane-cure the concrete for 3 to 7 days. Following these steps, the concrete is "brush-blasted" to remove laitance, salt residue, contamination, or the curing compound. Immediately after the surface preparation, ARDEX Moisture Control Rapid is applied at a thickness of 14 mils (356 μm) with a sand broadcast. After a minimum of 4 hours drying time, the slab can be surveyed and a suitable ARDEX Self-Leveling Underlayment installed.
