Hapag-Lloyd has taken a further step to distance itself from parent Group TUI by replacing TUI's chairman Michael Frenzel with its own man, Jurgen Weber, as chairman of its supervisory board. Weber used to be executive board chairman of Lufthansa, and was a supervisory board member of Hapag-Lloyd between 1992 and 1998, when Lufthansa was a shareholder, so he is not a total outsider.
