Containership specialist Howe Robinson in merger talks with ICAP

Howe Robinson Group, one of the world's top containership brokers, is in negotiations to merge with the shipbroking arm of ICAP. The two confirmed talks were underway shortly after shipbroking giant Clarksons revealed that it was planning to acquire Norway's RS Platou. Earlier in the year, London-based brokers Braemar and ACM Shipping merged. Both sides had containership desks that have been combined.
