Wilson, Jr., presented a method for computing discrete minimal surfaces in Euclidean space.rn2.Paul Concus employed difference method to solve the minimal surface equation, which was derived by Joseph-Louis Lagrange in 1760.rn3.Philippe G. Ciaret adopted a finite element approximation with triangles to solve the minimal surface problem.
