摘要

East thinks that a theoretical perspective on computing education is lacking in teaching and research. The author recommends that individual teachers and researchers develop or adopt personal theoretical models of instruction. A multifaceted rationale for doing this is presented, and a framework addressing aspects of teaching and learning is suggested. Illustrations are given based on the author's personal models and considerations of learning, content, and teaching/pedagogy that are primarily at the meta-level.
