The following series of articles are taken from Harold's Computer Virus Handbook, published by Elsevier Advanced Technology in 1990. Viruses have moved on a long way since then, but the ex-tracts published here provide a useful background in virus development, and contain much information that is still relevant today it is also interesting to note that Harold introduces the Macro Virus concept a few years before it became more widely identified as a major problem.
