Virtualized Data Centers

摘要

As online services permeate every facet of life, data centers continue to proliferate and grow in size, complexity and the variety of services offered. Virtualization techniques offer a powerful mechanism not only for better utilization of physical resources but also for allowing businesses to avail themselves of data center facilities without having to own and operate the physical infrastructure themselves. The motivation for this special issue, entitled "Virtualized Data Centers", is to explore a variety of research issues arising in the design and operation of emerging virtualized data centers.
