Track Limiter Plug-In

Track Limiter, from German company Axis Plug-ins, is a limiting plug-in with three different algorithms to control audio levels and prevent distortion. It can be used to catch clipping in signals and to increase the average audio level of an entire track. The limiting algorithm used by the plug-in treats high, mid-level, and low frequencies separately, in an attempt to mimic the way humans perceive volume at different frequencies. It is a brick-wall limiter, decreasing the levels of peaks to bring them below the set maximum level. Peak, RMS, and Peak Hold meters are included, and a peak-to-peak meter displays the input and output peaks and the difference between them.
