Artificial intelligence (AI) is no longer just a clever plot device existing in the imaginations of science-fiction writers and directors—it is beginning to permeate the workplace. On February 11, 2019, President Trump issued an Executive Order on Maintaining American Leadership in Artificial Intelligence. While the executive order is largely aspirational, it is notable in that the US government is prioritizing AI development.
