One of the key features of the newly unveiled Windows 10 is a built-in virtual desktop tool, as introduced by Microsoft in an official video. Unless you've seen this technology in action, you'd be forgiven for wondering what a virtual desktop is. 'Multiple desktops' would be a more apt phrase. When you've set up a couple of virtual desktops on your PC, you can switch between them and instantly access different desktop layouts, each with their own open programs. It effectively gives you a second screen to work on. Some virtual desktop tools let you create three, four, five or more desktops, each of which you can use for a different purpose -work, play, photo editing and so on.
