Editorial

摘要

As per January 2009 I have taken over from Jerome Jaffre as co-editor-in-chief for Computational Geo-sciences. I have always had a great sympathy for the journal and it is an honor to have the opportunity to work with Mary Wheeler and Clint Dawson to help them steer the journal over the coming years. With a steadily increasing number of papers submitted, and a marked improvement in the turn-around time for reviews over the past period, the journal is clearly on a good course. I hope to help further strengthening the status of the journal as the preferred medium for research papers in the field of computational geosciences, and in particular for work transcending the boundaries of traditional disciplines. With the support of the editorial board, the publishing editor Petra van Steenbergen and the other Springer staff involved, and in particular of all authors and reviewers, I'm confident to take on this task and I'm looking forward to the journey ahead.
