Trade Show Intelligence: Event Intelligence through the eyes of an Old Crow

Noam Gilutz is a SCIP member. He served for 12 years in Israeli intelligence and security agencies, primarily as what is traditionally titled an analyst. Currently, Noam is setting up a venture capital fund seeking to invest in Israeli start-ups developing new technologies for the security and intelligence market. Prior to that, he conducted competitive intelligence work for companies engaged in infrastructure, energy and security.nI met Noam in Tel Aviv where we had a great discussion about competitive intelligence. When he came to Canada we had an opportunity to continue our discussion and even pushed it into the area of event intelligence. Noam had learned about event intelligence by attending various CI and intelligence events including courses at the Gilad, Herring, Fuld Academy of Competitive Intelligence and with Avner Barnea in Israel. Based on his years of Israeli government intelligence experience and new-found SCIP-related intelligence knowledge, we could all benefit from Noam’s perspective on competitive intelligence in general and event intelligence in particular.
