An overview of laser communications experiment demonstration

摘要

The ground-to-satellite laser communications experiment demonstration was performed by the Communications Research Laboratory for the first time in the world. To establish basic tech nologies for space laser communication systems, the demonstration made use of an optical communication package, LCE (Lase Communication Equipment) on-board the Engineering Test Satellite VI (ETS-VI) and its companion ground optical terminals.
