Datsun's Little Lady: Sports Cars Before the 1500

Nissan had been making roadsters since the Thirties and sports cars since the early Fifties, but it was not until 1960 that the Japanese carmaker built one in which it had the confidence to send across the Pacific to the United States. That roadster was the SPL-212 Fairlady, the name reportedly coming from a Nissan executive's fondness for the musical My Fair Lady.
