The handsome styling of the 1969 Ambassador seemed to really appeal to Robert Estes, president of Trans World Leasing Inc. in Chicago. That year he commissioned a small number of limousines based on the redesigned AMC flagship. His plan was to lease them to corporations and AMC dealerships.
