If you've been paying much attention to other companies' advertising, you may have noticed that lately the attitude of companies toward their customers has undergone a sweeping change. Their advertising tactics are distinctly different than they were a year ago. Enterprise has moved to the #1 slot in the car rental business, propelled there by its strategy of providing customers with a pick up and delivery service. Avis has launched a series of commercials on a service theme: "Ever noticed how some companies have just stopped trying?" they ask, as employees in a variety of businesses are shown ignoring their customers.
