It's been almost two years since Mary Ellen Wagner was perusing the latest newsletter from one of her favorite quilt shops when she noted a section indicating the owner was planning to sell the business. An avid quilter, Mary Ellen was familiar with the opportunities in the area north of Philadelphia. She had been teaching quilting classes at various retail stores over the years. A few months later, Mary Ellen and her husband, Peter, were the owners of Country Quiltworks in Montgomeryville, Pa., a store that had been in existence for 15 years under three different owners.
