Sewing Is Really As Easy As It 'Seams'

At the Home Sewing Association (HSA), our mission is to "Get People Sewing". One of the first things we usually tell our recent converts is that sewing is easy if you begin simply and start small. Sounds reasonable enough, doesn't it? Well, not if you don't have a blueprint for getting started. That's where HSA's Guideline Series comes in. It occurred to us that sewing enthusiasts of all levels need a uniform resource on any number of issues, including measuring fabric, seam finishes or attaching buttons.
