For the first time in its history, Mercedes-Benz, a division of The Daimler Group based in Stuttgart, Germany, has revised its bestseller in the sport utility vehicle (SUV) category and is offering a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), the GLE 500 e 4MATIC. In addition to low fuel consumption figures and the performance of a conventional model, the new PHEV includes excellent road handling, interior spaciousness and high levels of active and passive safety.
