BIM-adequate design of bridges - Experiences from practical Application

摘要

The construction industry experiences a digitalization of its work methods and processes due to Building Information Modeling (BIM). On behalf of political bodies (Stufenplan BMVI) and contractors of big infrastructure measures (among others Deutsche Bahn, DEGES) the method including the application of BIM performance level 1 will be mandatory from 2020 on for a majority of projects. The consequent planning, construction and maintenance of engineering structures using digital models requires distinctly varying, above given standard contract models further cooperative and standardized work methods. Definitions need to be established, which determine the relevant targets for the work to be done, collaboration and documentation within relevant project steps. The experiences made in a variety of projects of the TH KOIn and the Schugler-Plan Ingenieurgesellschaft for a BIM-adequate draft design of bridges are summarized within the following. The article should support an adequate application and further development of the method.
