One of the most common phenomena in nature is ag-glomeration. It occurs on a large scale in the formation of sedimentary rocks such as sandstone, causes the strength of soil, forms dust coatings on surfaces, and helps to clean water and air by settling suspended particles after their aggregation into larger entities. In view of this very common natural occurrence, it is not surprising that some of the oldest human activities use agglomeration, for example, to produce bread from flour, building materials from sand and clay, and pills from medicinal powders.
