摘要

Using combinatorial chemistry and structure-based ligand design, researchers at DuPont Merck Pharma-ceutical Co., Wilmington, Del., have designed a novel class of compounds that inhibit collagenases implicated in both cancer metastasis and arthritis. The work could lead to more effective drugs for preventing migration of cancer cells and a new class of drugs for treating arthritis [J. Am. Chem. Soc., 118, 10337 (1996)].
