A facile and convenient strategy for the assembly of N-arylated heterocycles has been demonstrated using a MnCl_2·4H_2O/ trans-1,2-diaminocyclohexane catalyst and K_3PO_4 as the base in water.rnTransition metal-catalyzed cross coupling reactions of nitrogen nucleophiles with aryl halides has emerged as a powerful synthetic strategy that finds widespread applications in the synthesis of pharmaceutxals, natural products and conducting materials.
