摘要

We have successfully developed a new cell-permeable SNARF derivative that is activated inside the cell by ester hydrolysis and is notable for having reduced background fluorescence. The dynamics of intracellular pH (pH_i) is crucial for understanding the mechanisms of regulation of many physiological functions of the cell. Among the several methods available to determine pH, optical methods have various advantages including rapid response time, high signal-to-noise ratio, non-invasiveness, and excellent pH sensitivity.
