Opportunities for cost-saving in the production of compressed air by a variable shock-blower control system

The continuously rising power costs for the production of compressed air and the higher quality requirements are requiring the increasing use of intelligent system components to ensure optimum control of the compressed air production. One such system component, the variable shock-blower control system, has been developed by Kima Auto-matisierung GmbH of Gronau-Epe, Germany. In this system all the relevant process variables are collected via a data bus and used for selective valve operation. The shock-blower control system is parameterized through an operator panel or through the existing control technology. A link to the existing control technology can be set up easily through various data interfaces.
