Industry demands more security of investment from energy and climate policy

With favourable economic prospects, the German cement industry is preparing for a continuation of the current upward trend. This was the message announced by the Bundesverband der deutschen Zementindustrie ("BDZ", National Confederation of the German Cement Industry) at its annual Press Conference in Berlin/Germany, on April 26, 2007. Following significant growth in 2006, the industry is anticipating a further increase of around 1 % in cement consumption in Germany for 2007.
