摘要

Change in mortality patterns and duration of the life cycle of Rhodnius neivai lent, 1953 were studied to analyze its adaptative capacity to temperature variations. Eighteen cohorts of 100 eggs each, were followed until all nymphs molted to adults. Six cohorts were kept at 22 deg. C, six at 27 deg. C and six at 32 deg. C. At each temperature, three cohorts were fed on hens and three on rabbits. Cohorts were counted daily and num- ber of live and dead individuals by instar was recorded. The lowest total nymphal mortality was observed at 27 deg. C. Mortality was slightly higher at 32 deg. C and highest at 22 deg. C.
