Five Tasks For The Next Decade

Since I launched World Card Technology magazine in 1995, which became Card Technology a year later, the card industry has accomplished a great deal. To be sure, not everything has turned out as we imagined. A decade ago, many of us were expecting to see smart cards in everyone's wallets and purses, and electronic cash displacing paper and coins, among other predictions. We've taken steps in both directions, but have fully realized neither.
