As a country with a fast-growing but still developing economy, Mexico is try-ing to provide its citizens with two things most have never had: a bank account and health insurance. The two efforts have come together in an innovative program that could within a few years result in more than 50 million Mexicans inserting their health insurance smart cards into banking terminals at pharmacies to fill medical prescriptions.
