Long-distance Clutch

In response to Phil Rowe's Cavalier which has covered 163,000 miles (Car Mechanics December 2009, page 39), my wife has owned from new a 1993 Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 LS which currently has covered almost 93,500 miles, the longest occasional run being about 80 miles return, ie. almost all urban driving on the same clutch. Other than when the car as under warranty, I have since done all my own servicing and minor repairs on this vehicle.
