While reading our feature on the Mitsubishi Pajero (see page 42), it set me thinking about the bad press surrounding 4×4s - with their allegedly polluting emissions now under the spotlight. But with all the snow we've recently had, it seems that this type of weather is actually bad for those WITHOUT four-wheel-drive. While we're spinning our front or rear wheels, pumping out more emissions than normal, the unloved 4×4 is in its element, even there to lend a hand to those unfortunate enough to be stuck!
