The other day I did something that I rarely do and paid too much for a car component. The position was simple; I needed an offside front light unit for a the Volvo 940 estate you've seen on the previous page - a rather frustrating 'need' seeing as I'd sold a good secondhand one for £ 12 a couple of months earlier, but that's another story. Anyway, I did what many people do these days and went on eBay where, sure enough, I found a specialist Volvo parts dealer selling them for £18 each - plus about £4 for carriage. Seemed a good deal so I clicked Buy Now, paid the money online, and sure enough, the part arrived two days later.
