The pontcysyllte aqueduct and other well-known waterways locations will feature in the journey of the Olympic Torch from its landing in the UK on 19 May to its arrival in London on 27 July, ready for the start of the Games. Precise details have yet to be announced, but the flame is expected to be carried across the Pontcysyllte on a boat hauled by hand on 30 May, call at Foxton Locks on 2 July, and visit the Dudley Canal and Black Country Living Museum, where it is expected to be carried on a canal boat and a tram on 30 June.
