A stylish sneaker made of apples!

Komrads was created in 2013 as a sustainable cult brand embracing current styles, with respect for the heritage of a product as well as the planet. Their latest project is Komrads APL, a sneaker made from apples. The waste from the production of apple products, mostly the peel and core is transformed into Apple Eco Leather, a durable high-quality alternative to leather that is at least 50% recycled apple fiber and 100% vegan. The sole is made of 100% recycled rubber from car tires, and coloured with ecological paint, the laces are made of recycled plastic bottles, while the insole is ergonomic, breathable and made out of recycled materials. Production is in Europe to limit international transport and ensure good working conditions.
