The longtime TV actress (perhaps best known as Winnie from The Wonder Years) graduated summa cum laudefrom UCLA, where she proved a new mathematical theorem about magnetic fields. She's also co-author of the kids' book Math Doesn't Suck. The Oscar-winning star of The Godfather dreamed of building an eco-hotel On his private atoll off Tahiti and devised a system to cool it by pumping deep-sea water through the bungalows' pipes. Seven years after his death, the hotel is being built, as is the system.
