Special Issue of Business Ethics: A European Review 'Sustaining competences for corporate social responsibility: a sensemaking perspective'

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) has been on the agenda of many academics and practitioners, interested in incorporating environmental and social responsibility in organisations in the private as well as the public domain. The agenda of CSR research and practice has so far been dominated by a focus on activities formalising CSR in an organisational context, like codes of conduct, the development of indicators and the construction of management systems meeting internally or externally defined criteria and standards.
