Many will tell you that little things don't matter and that it's the big picture that does. Certainly, many bus industry folk have said that over the years. Rear blinds? A little thing. Not important. Front blinds? Little thing etc, etc. I hear that Virgin's Cross-Country train people are trying to deflect complaints about the onboard gizmos (with which they promote the service) not working because they are 'little things' compared to their main challenge of providing a train at all. Certainly, it would be silly to get worked up over the odd small thing. But what if there's lots of them? One coach in the garage with its clock wrong is fair enough, but the entire fleet is another matter and that becomes a big thing. And it's often the little things that drive big decisions, like abandoning public transport. So here are some recent little annoyances.
