In his Guy Wulfrunian article in December Buses, Robin Hannay is incorrect is saying that all West Riding double-deckers had lowbridge bodies. The so-called tramway replacement fleet in both prewar and postwar days had highbridge bodies and the Selby allocation ran highbridge Leyland Titan PD2s.rnI support many of his views regarding the Wulfrunian, however. As a teenage bus enthusiast in early 1960s Yorkshire, I always enjoyed visiting the Wakefield area as I could travel on Wulfrunians, which I regarded as magnificent. They had splendid performance and the suspension was superb and I still recall the hisses produced by the air suspension every time a bump or depression in the road was encountered.
