Bussevices suffered significant suspensions and disruption in Cumbria, the area worst affected by severe flooding on 19 November when up to 314mm of rain fell in 24hr, the highest-ever level measured in England.rnThe worst affected area was West Cumbria, where the Northside bridge over the River Derwent in Workington collapsed killing a police officer, but large areas of the Lake District were left unserved, with Keswick and Cockermouth town centres inaccessible and large parts of the Central Lakes affected. Borrowdale was flooded and Ullswater burst its banks.
