But I have seen the signals suggesting I may run into trouble. In 201 0, Devon County Council set the scene saying: 'Although there is a strong desire to continue producing area timetable guides, their budget is not secure in the present financial climate'. Indeed it cut ￡1,35million from its bus budget in 201 1, explaining: 'In achieving this we sought to avoid complete route withdrawals and concentrate instead on finding savings by means of timetable reductions.'
