Three cheers for Norman Baker the transit maker

While on the subject of politicians, I do admire England's energetic transport minister Norman Baker, in whose company I have been recently at the Light Rail Awards, UK Bus Awards and his own Tram Summit following the publication of the Department for Transport's useful 'Green light for light rail' report. He clearly believes in and regularly uses public transport and is not only willing to attend and speak at such events, but goes out of his way to champion our cause.
