Tata pulls plug on Hispano

Manufacturing overcapacity has claimed another scalp in the European bus and coach industry, with Indian automotive giant Tata announcing the closure of its Tata Hispano business in Spain. It blames heavy losses - in excess of €60million (£50million) over the past five years - for the decision to cease manufacturing at the Zaragoza plant in October after fulfilling outstanding orders.
